Put Time on Your Side

Isn’t time the most valuable thing we have? One of the books I recommended in last week’s blog, Buy Back Your Time: Get Unstuck, Reclaim Your Freedom, and Build Your Empire (Dan Martel) offered a perspective that really changed how I think. About everything.

When it comes to commercial real estate, time is always a factor. It can mean the difference between opportunity and missing out. How you manage your time can set you up to be more strategic, think creatively and logically, and handle things more efficiently.

For those of you thinking about leasing a space this year or may have lease renewal coming up, my advice is to start early. The leasing process takes time. Sign a rep agreement to respect your broker’s time, carve out times for showings, and review options, proposals, and lease drafts right away.

Put time on your side. Then do the things that make you happy.
