The Olympics are an exciting time for athletes from all over the world to inspire, celebrate, and fulfill dreams. As we wrap up the games this weekend, I thought of how dreams come true through commercial real estate. Since we are a team to help people, I asked different members to highlight their experiences of dreams realized for clients.
1. Adam (Business Development): An athlete at the Olympic level requires a support team. CEG was a big part of helping the Minneapolis Public Schools find 80k square feet of warehouse space to lease. As the warehouse and administration team walked through the new space, they were so excited to be moving into a bigger, brighter, and cleaner warehouse. It was great to see the owner and tenant enter into a lease agreement that made them both happy. Working with public agencies to get deals done is what we do, and I enjoy each step of the way.
2. Nicole (Broker): When working directly with clients, especially those new to commercial real estate, I’m a coach. I get clients prepared by guiding them through the hoops and jumps. Through our collaborative approach at CEG, I have access to the support and connections needed to get them ready for the win. Recently, Dr. Yee Xiong leased a space in Coon Rapids for her new business, Addiction Recovery and Comprehensive Health Institute. Not only did CEG help her find the perfect space, but I connected her to support organizations to get her business off and running. It was so gratifying to walk her through the process and then see her successfully “win her medal.”
3. Andy (Business Development): I’m a builder of ships –– relationships, friendships, partnerships, fellowship, and leadership. Along with the team, I was thrilled to welcome Caleb Oberg and Oberg Roofing and Remodeling to our industrial storage facility in St. Cloud. They were able to consolidate three offsite storage units scattered around the city to one convenient location. We were even able to help them acquire second hand industrial shelving to further their efficiencies. It’s an honor when you hear clients publicly brag about the services provided by CEG! We’re like the organizations that provide resources and support to many Olympians.
4. Amy (Business Operations): I don’t necessarily work with clients one-on-one like the brokers, but rather I’m here for everyone involved. I’m part of the team that gets them over the hurdle and makes a gold medal possible. Whether it’s a late-night signature needed, an amendment, or confirming closing details, being that support person for our clients and brokers gives me a feeling of pride as they make their dreams come true buying, selling, or leasing a space.
5. Anne Marie (Marketing): I work in the beginning stages of making deals happen by positively presenting client properties and getting the word out about what’s available. I’m like the athletic coach that works on form, but also makes sure they are seen by scouts. Aside from CEG, I’ve assisted other clients from business plan to open door –– developing their brand and identity, designing their commercial space, and marketing their business. It’s extremely satisfying to see clients’ dreams come to fruition and help them reach their goals through marketing.
Conclusion
Olympic athletes have a team at the games to guide, support, cheer, and handle logistics. We’re those people at CEG. We work together to help clients meet their business and investment goals through commercial real estate. Every person on our team is invested. All feel the honor and gratitude of being part of our clients’ “Olympic” experience.
